TSA PreCheck, TWIC, HME

As one of local government’s oldest public servants, the Municipal Clerk’s Office safeguards the integrity of city governance by preserving official records, supporting all departments, protecting public documents, and assisting with municipal elections—ensuring transparency, continuity, and public trust.

All city services now simply available on one page

The Department of Municipal is proud to serve as a third-party administrator with IdentoGo by Idemia to provide citizens with the following services (TSA PreCheck, TWIC and HME). Please click on the links provided to schedule your appointment for enrollment of these services.

Apply for TSA PreCheck®

When approved to travel with TSA PreCheck®, low-risk travelers will have a smoother experience at the airport security checkpoint. The fastest and easiest way to enroll in TSA PreCheck® is to start the application online. Please click on the link below to schedule an appointment:

Apply for TWIC® (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)

The Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC®, is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities/vessels, and others who require a TWIC®. TSA conducts a security threat assessment (background check) to determine a person’s eligibility and issues the credential. U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens in certain immigrant/non-immigrant categories may apply for the credential. Most mariners licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard also require a credential. Apply for HME (Hazardous Materials Endorsement)

The Hazardous Materials Endorsement Threat Assessment Program conducts a threat assessment for any driver seeking to obtain, renew and transfer a hazardous materials endorsement on a state-issued commercial driver’s license. You should apply if you have a state-issued CDL and you are required to transport materials that require placarding under the Department of Transportation hazardous materials regulations.
